So Quentin Tarantino segues from video store clerk to world-famous movie director, and all I get for my video store daze is a lousy web site?
Not that I don’t love my web site …
Tarantino is back in the news this week. He’s shopping, finally, his “Inglorious Bastards” script. Looks like he’ll be dancing with his regular partners but might have Brad Pitt to kick around on set.
The director has been talking up this script for years - it’s a remake of the 1977 WWII flick that’s like a nastier version of “The Dirty Dozen.” It starred Bo Svenson and Fred Williamson, a veritable 1970s tag team cast.
Just caught up with the film via a screener DVD, and I must say it’s got Tarantino written all over it. Am hoping the project yields one movie … not the two that’s being whispered about a la “Kill Bill.”
(Photo: Quentin Tarantino routinely pops up in his own films, like this scene from “Death Proof.”)

You’re on fire today, Daggy. You could be right. His uber-geek status is overshadowing any ’serious’ filmmaker attempts.
