Where have you gone, Nia Vardalos?
The last time movie goers saw the Greek actresses she was starring in the sleeper of sleeper hits, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.”
Almost no one saw her official follow-up, 2004’s “Connie and Carla,” but she’s coming back with another Greek-themed production. Hey, it’s not exactly a genre chock full of entries, right?
Fox Searchlight Pictures announced today that it will distribute “My LIfe in Ruins,” an upcoming comedy starring Vardalos, Richard Dreyfuss, Harland Williams and the great Rachel Dratch sometime next year.
Vardalos plays Georgia, a woman who loses her kefi (Greek for “mojo”) but finds it while guiding tourists through her Greek homeland.
Maybe it’ll play better than it sounds.

Good info, Triskit. Am starting to hear good reviews of “My Boys” … need to check it out.
Nia’s untraditional looks made her stand out in “My Big Fat Greek …” I hoped she wouldn’t fade away.
