At the risk of having my movie lover credentials revoked, I never really understood the dislike of "Waterworld." Sure, it wasn't a masterpiece or anything, but I always thought it was a pretty fun and inventive action flick. However, I was 13 when it came out, and kids, especially teenagers, aren't known for their discerning taste in things. “At least he didn’t sport gills or a faux British accent for the flick.”

At the risk of having my movie lover credentials revoked, I never really understood the dislike of “Waterworld.” Sure, it wasn’t a masterpiece or anything, but I always thought it was a pretty fun and inventive action flick.
