George Lucas isn’t done with the “Star Wars” franchise, not by a long shot. Not only is he planning to re-release all six “Star Wars” features in 3-D, he’s also got an animated and live-action TV series in the works.
So what’s next for the man behind the Force? Here’s a hint: hide the kiddies!
Lucas told USA Today that future “Star Wars” installments would aim for the very pre-teen set, a group even younger than those targeted by his current feature, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.”
“Eventually, we may do a TV series that is skewed for younger kids – 5- and 6-year-olds,” he told the newspaper.
As if “The Star Wars Holiday Special” didn’t tackle that demographic already.

“Star Wars: The Toy Commercials”
In a way, K, it was always about that. I remember the extreme efforts it took to buy the action figures (they were always selling out) back in 1977.

I was at a McD’s this weekend (hey, it was a breakfast mcmuffin, it’s an acceptable food before a long run … ) and as I was leaving, a family with (ick) kids came in, boys 5-7 yrs old … they bolted straight to the display of Star Wars toys available in kiddie meals .. “oh, wow,” one gasped, “Whoa” said the other …
they were enthralled …
