Ketchup time

Was away for a family wedding … expect the usual array of blog updates from today on.

But I didn’t want to let some things pass.

• Director Guillermo del Toro reveals he’s as ugly as some of his most unsavory characters with these awful quotes. (hat tip: Dirty Harry).

• The MTV Awards will once again feature Britney Spears. Because she’ll be much better this time with a whole year to practice her sluggish gyrations.

• “CSI” goes Fish-ing: Laurence Fishburne to join the cast of the long-running show. It’s a shame that Fishburne finds so few good roles on the big screen. Catch him in “Akeelah and The Bee” and see what real acting presence is.
