Yup, he’s the guy from “The Princess Bride” who tried to smite our golden heroes.
Now, he’s just another actor/writer drowning in Bush Derangement Syndrome: (hat tip: Newsbusters)
Bush has openly mocked law and proclaimed a certain pleasure in sadism and exulted in holding prisoners and mistreating and torturing them, really. Of course this affects one emotionally: my emotional life has been very strongly affected by the fact that Bush was president and my writing life is affected by my emotional life.
Boo hoo!
Suddenly, the dog ate my homework sounds like a pretty solid excuse.
To be fair, the Times of London article did allow the barrel-chested Brian Dennehy to air some more thoughtful reflections on the Bush years:
There’s been a tremendous amount of what I guess you’d call outraged art, an anti-Bush industry on hand ready to fulminate about how disastrous he is. But the conclusions are often more complicated than the left has wanted to hear.

Barrel-chested Brian Dennehy? Why not also say the bald and short Wallace Shawn? I think of several things when I think of Brian Dennehy, but I don’t think of barrel-chested (I don’t even think it would be in the top 5
). When I think of Wallace Shawn now, I think rationalizing toady will come to mind.
What will all of these lefty losers complain about when Bush is retired? How the three republicans left in the House and Senate are ruining all their plans?

Dennehy’s physique always struck me as amusing … he would have been a great Kingpin (the bad guy from Daredevil comix).
yeah, I’ve been wondering where the crazyleftyhate will go … after seeing Frost/Nixon I think it’ll go toward trying to make Bush ‘confess’ to his crimes … just you wait.

The crazy leftyhate will still be aimed at Bush, blaming him for everything Obama screws up, plus apparently the dems in Congress are planning on holding hearings trying to dig up dirt on the Bush administration.
I’m wondering if they’ll be able to hate on Bush the way they do Nixon. The crazy left considered Nixon an evil genius, whereas they like to think of Bush as a dunce and tool of those evil oil men who help keep our cars running.
But Cheney is the evil genius in the Bush White House … but the Bush hating, I suspect, is far from over.
