Sat amongst a gaggle of screaming, screeching pre-teen girls during my recent “Twilight” screening.
All I could think of after the movie was, “I hope like heck the movie doesn’t spark a fashion craze. Or rather a makeup craze.”
The boys of “Twilight” all look as pale as Casper after a week locked in the basement, and I can just see desperate-for-attention lads going all uber-gothic on us.
Just when I thought heroin chic had run its course, we might have a new scourge to battle – vampire chic. How draining.

Did you feel any different about it after seeing it again? Or did you just focus your attention on concerns about possible coming fashion trends?
Did your niece like it?
I think part of the problem you might have is with all the squealing girls in the audience. I saw it again last night, and neither time did I hear even one squeal. I did hear a couple of cell phones though (how rude!), but no flossing. I enjoyed it just as much the second time as I did the first (and my friend was seeing for the first time and really liked also). Many of the other people at the theater were seeing it for the second time as well (I heard them say so – I did not read their minds).
For some reason, this film really gets in my head and I think about for days afterward. Maybe it is my own brand of heroin. Or something.
“How draining.” HA!
Heh! href=”http://www.southparkzone.com/episodes/1214/The-Ungroundable.html”>South Park just addressed your very concern!
Hope I did the link right…
