Ms. Kate Hudson and Ms. Anne Hathaway
have the honour of inviting audiences
to see their new film, “Bride Wars”
Ms. Hudson will be revisiting the annoying tics she mastered in
“How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”
While Ms. Hathaway will be burning up the goodwill from her award-bait
performance in “Rachel Getting Married.”
Men need not heed this invitation, although the film’s male characters are infinitely more grounded and likable than their female co-stars.
Expect a happy ending that rivals “Made of Honor”
for its detachment from common sense.
You’ll laugh here and there while appreciating appearances from
old pros like Candice Bergen and Kristen Johnston
And you might even mist up as the film
trots out something borrowed, something blue – though expect a heavier emphasis on the ‘borrowed’ part

Very amusing. Sounds like your review is better than the movie.
By the way, nice to see your work over at Big Hollywood.
. . although the film’s male characters are infinitely more grounded and likable than their female co-stars.
This in itself is so unusual in a chick flick that I may have to go see the movie just to marvel at it. My experience is that women directors or screenwriters (as in this case) tend to minimize the male bashing.
Bride Wars is roughest on the ladies, K … the film exploits all the major female stereotypes – cattiness, etc.
Is there an open bar?
Very creative review, well done!
ha! good job. (is it wrong to admit i kind of liked ‘how to lose a guy in 10 days”? it probably is…)
It’s very wrong to admit that …. but you’re not alone so feel good about that
