Like Mickey Rourke (allegedly) said, I thought it was just standard stuff. Excellent point, though. It's hard enough for a Hollywood actor to spend time with a Republican politician without being blasted for it or labeled some sort of right-wing lunatic, imagine if one went and partied with Pinochet or someone like that. No one probably has the time or the space (or the stomach) to keep up with media worshipful and the objects of their affection. Gag me.
