The folks over at FunnyorDie.com found a way to salute both the new stimulus package and the Oscar-nominated film “The Wrestler.”
Pretty neat trick, even if many Americans don’t hold out much hope for the new legislation.
But check out “The Uncler” all the same and let me know what you think. And yes, there’s some Bush bashing here. There’s also Alyssa Milano, so it evens out in the end.

Parody is a tough gig. Though thankfully those of us who are parodically minded never run out of material. That’s truly Congress’ economic stimulus, they keep joke writers in business. I can take or leave the trailer. The Bush bashing is immaterial. Honestly, I expect movies to have a narrow, incurious view of reality, so it seemed completely in place.
I don’t know how much of a difference it would make if I had seen The Wrestler. The clip seems very faithful to the trailers I have watched online. The idea is fairly funny on its surface, and I could see a longer clip leaving a better impression.
