Buy a TV, help a veteran

Buy a TV, help a veteran

March 5, 2009

Feeling a little guilty about splurging on a big-screen TV?

A new flat-screen manufacturer wants to ease your pain.

EQD Corporation will donate a percentage of the operating profits from its new Auria line of high-definition LCD TVs to two charities, including the Armed Forces Foundation (AFF).

AFF helps improve the lives of veterans and their families.

Haven’t heard about Auria flat-panel sets before, but this could be a nice way to introduce them into the marketplace. The company also claims its TVs are 20 percent cheaper than similar models.

Of course, the Auria sets’ picture quality better be sharp, or consumers will opt for different manufacturers – and hopefully donate to a worthy cause on their own.
