Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Julia Roberts get all the attention, press and accolades.
But what about the other actors on set, the character actors and funny folks who routinely steal scenes even if no one knows their name?
Let’s start celebrating their good work here at WWTW.
First up, comic actor Joe Lo Truglio.
You’ve seen him in “Beer League,” “Superbad” and “Pineapple Express.”
He’s brilliant in the new-to-DVD “Role Models” as the role-playing devotee who speaks perfect Middle Earth.
And check him out in the upcoming “I Love You, Man.” He’s only on screen for a few minutes, but he makes every second count.
The actor is also a big shark devotee, according to his web site.
So here’s to you, Joe. Keep up the great work.

I’ve remember him fondly since his days on “The State”, a troupe that also includes the ferociously funny Kerri Kenney-Silver (among many others), who also does quite a turn on “Role Models”…
yeah ‘The State’ was great especially Michael Ian Black i remember fondly a sketch they did around a big blob of pudding where they would say “my name is levon and my name is barry and this is 250 dollars worth of puddin’.” that was classic comedy right there. maybe someday it will be released on dvd
The State is feeding some key supporting players to today’s comedies … and they’re all the better for it.
