You never forget your first time …

… downloading a movie onto your computer.

I finally gave in to 21st century technology and rented “The Last House on the Left” (1972) from Amazon.com’s Video on Demand service.

Not bad, mostly. The film streamed instantly onto my computer, and Amazon’s web site is always easy to use. This was no different.

The picture wasn’t razor sharp, though, and the film didn’t always roll smoothly. But it beat driving to the local video store to find out the film was out of stockĀ  – usually, when a movie is remade the original is tough to find on the DVD shelves.
