It’s the 10th anniversary of the Columbine High School massacre, one of those dates in history that unite us in sadness.
I recently spoke to one of the survivors, a young filmmaker named Andrew Robinson, for my latest piece in Denver Magazine.
His new project is “April Showers,” a movie inspired by the tragedy. It hits theaters April 24.
I must say Andrew was one of the more impressive people I’ve ever interviewed. Smart. Thoughtful. Grounded. Clear thinking. I’m eager to see his film, and I hope it does what he wants it to do — to keep the national conversation on school violence alive in healthy ways.
