The key phrase is, “we will reduce our nuclear weapons and urge others to do the same.” As usual, he’s going to weaken his own country, then just hope that the rest of the world magically decides to play along.

I think the whole ‘let’s get rid of all nukes’ argument is silly. The wicked leaders will keep a few – and that’s all they’ll need. And so long as scientists know how to make a nuclear weapon from scratch, the world will never truly be safe from a possible nuclear war.
