One of the more addictive parts of running this film blog is seeing how people find me on the Web.
I previously revealed that the word “Rocky” (as in Sly Stallone’s creation) is one of the most popular words people punch in a search engine that lead them to WWTW.
(Mental note: Write a half dozen new “Rocky” posts ASAP.)
But that isn’t the only term people google before ending up here.
Here are some of the more peculiar phrases:
“sex scene righteous kill” – this one was big for a few days. De Niro must have an amorous fan club somewhere.
“shirtless jason statham” – OK, that one makes sense for the ladies.
“toto inkheart” – Yes, another movie dog was named Toto, although this one popped out of the “Wizard of Oz” book so it’s really more of the same.
“free movies with full frontal nudity” – ’nuff said.
And, best of all, yesterday someone typed this into a search engine before coming to my site:
“Don’t mess with my toto”

Some visitor found my sight by searching for “gay black old men with anacondas.”
I assume he was disappointed.
A lot of people end up on my site because I once commented on the illogic behind the glowing spines of Cylons in BSG when they were having sex with the humans (like that red glow wouldn’t be a clue that something was up). So I get tons of hits from people looking for Caprica 6 nude…yep they go away disapointed.
Great anecdotes … although I think Jonathan wins by a nose.
LOL!
I too have a lot of hits on “Rocky.”
The ones that keeps popping up lately are:
“Kate Winslet nude”
“Reader sex”
“Sex scene in Reader”
“The Reader sex scene”
I’m sensing a theme here…
PS Here’s a couple odd ones:
“who cut natalya rudakova hair”
and I get tons of “georgiana cavendish, duchess of devonshire” because I did a review of “The Duchess.” Who knew Georgiana Cavendish had so many fans?
The dutiful denizens of Threedonia have discovered, when it comes to cheap hits, nothing beats a bra-less Salma Hayek and Google image search.
I get tons of hits on Selma Hayek – especially after she breast-fed a baby in Africa.. I reviewed the made-for-television movie, “In the time of the Butterfly,” and apparently no one else every reviewed it, because it getas a lot of searches. I’m sure it helps that Hayek was in it.
