Movie fans today have to hunt down good material. Case in point: Just watched a new horror film called "The Burrowers." It's not a classic, but it's a smart mashup of western and horror flicks. Beautiful cinematography, and it felt very ... fresh. Will be writing more about it soon ... and, of course, it went straight to DVD. What a shame. I want good writing, too. Oh dear god, I hope I never see any of these titles at the cinema. In my mind, this boils down to a lack of good scripts. I think Hollywood has either run out of good writers or has lost the ability to find good writers. Either way, it's not good, no good at all. And by the way, your post is light hearted, but this is a serious problem for those of us who love the movies. I want good writing!!! LOL!
