You never forget your first geeky sci-fi/horror convention.
Each year, Denver’s science fiction community assembles for StarFest, a weekend convention featuring some of the some of the genre’s biggest players – and some lower profile folk who remain in the hearts of the faithful
Starbuck herself, Katee Sackhoff, bravely took pix with fans Saturday.
WWTW talked to up and coming film director Jaume Collet0-Serra (“House of Wax”) whose new film, “Orphan,” hits theaters this summer.
I also attended a horror movie panel … expect a “best of” roundup from that later this weekend.

The Denver convention runs through tomorrow … so if you’ve ever donned faux Spock ears, or love to people watch … don’t miss it.

Oh my lord. It’s Barf from Spaceballs.
You can judge the quality of a Science Fiction/Comics con by the number of nubile young women dressed in chain mail bikinis carrying swords. A criteria which makes the San Diego Comics Con International far and away the greatest IMO.
