What a difference a good script – and director – can make.
Finally caught up with last summer’s Mummy threequel, “Tomb of the Dragon Emperor,” and marveled at how utterly bland the actor playing Brendan Fraser’s son was.
Yawn.
This past weekend, I screened “The Black Balloon,” a new Aussie film about a teen and his autistic brother.
Yup, the same actor who turns in a blindingly good performance as the autistic young man – Luke Ford – played Fraser’s son.
Never judge an actor by his weakest role.
