I am by no means a trekkie i have probably never seen an entire of any of the many star trek series throughout the years. He would have picked himself up, dusted off his hands, looked down at his younger self, and said, "You have to learn <i>why</i> things work on a starship...punk." In any event, in roughly 12 hours I'll know just how badly this mauls Trek history. Because he knew that Shater’s Kirk would have done a flying kick into the face of Pine’s Kirk and that would have been that. He would have picked himself up, dusted off his hands, looked down at his younger self, and said, “You have to learn why things work on a starship…punk.”

In any event, in roughly 12 hours I’ll know just how badly this mauls Trek history.
