Which film scored the highest per-theater average last weekend?
I’ll give you a hint – it didn’t star Tom Hanks, Chris Pine or Matthew McConaughey.
“The Brothers Bloom” notched an impressive $20,500 per theater average in its first weekend of release, according to Box Office Mojo.
That tally came from only a handful of theaters – four, to be exact.
The film, which opened the Starz Denver Film Festival last year, comes from “Brick” writer/director Rian Johnson.
