The more sex comedies we see, the more we appreciate “American Pie’s” resident pervert, Stifler.
Just sat through, or rather squirmed through, the new to DVD comedy “Miss March.” The film features a Stifler type, played by Trevor Moore, who lives for boobs and broads.
Yawn.
The character reminded me of Carter (Andrew Caldwell) from the equally laugh-free “College.”
It’s easy to insert a raunch-lovin’ pal into an R-rated comedy. What’s far more difficult is making him both obnoxious and lovable.
Seann William Scott did just that as Stifler, and Frigo (Matt Bush) came close in “Adventureland.”
The world doesn’t need another “American Pie” sequel, but it sure could use someone like Scott to bring fresh life to the boilerplate bad boy role.
