A budget-busting summer

A budget-busting summer

The economy may be in a recession, but don’t tell that to the folks bringing you this year’s summer movies.

Just check out the budgets behind some of the latest movie releases (source: Box Office Mojo) with WWTW’s assessment of some hidden costs associated with each:

  • “Terminator Salvation: $200 million – Anger management therapist on call 24/7
  • “Land of the Lost” $100 million – Dinosaur urine isn’t cheap
  • “Angels & Demons” $150 million – Ron Howard’s ballcap wrangler
  • “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” – $150 million – Hugh Jackman pec wrangler

It’s good to know money is being well spent to bring us the best summer movie experience possible.

Not to mention ALL that money wasted on Dance Flick!

All that money spent on movies and seemingly very little of it spent on crafting an intelligent screenplay.
