The economy may be in a recession, but don’t tell that to the folks bringing you this year’s summer movies.
Just check out the budgets behind some of the latest movie releases (source: Box Office Mojo) with WWTW’s assessment of some hidden costs associated with each:
- “Terminator Salvation: $200 million – Anger management therapist on call 24/7
- “Land of the Lost” $100 million – Dinosaur urine isn’t cheap
- “Angels & Demons” $150 million – Ron Howard’s ballcap wrangler
- “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” – $150 million – Hugh Jackman pec wrangler
It’s good to know money is being well spent to bring us the best summer movie experience possible.
