		<description>It&#039;s a good point ... but indie studios try to counterprogram during the summer. It&#039;s a risky strategy .... Once was a huge summer hit by indie standards, as was Little Miss Sunshine. But I bet you could list dozens of recent indie films released in the summer which got bowled over by the blockbusters.</description>

		<description>I got into a debate with some other commenters at Big Hollywood over this topic. It does seem like a happy accident that the movie was released at the same time as the election controversy, and I hope that gives it an attention boost.

Nevertheless, the release date was picked out months ago, and there&#039;s no way the filmmakers could have known that this controversy would be in the news when the movie was released. So it makes me wonder why they didn&#039;t choose to release it in the fall instead. It would have a better shot at getting some awards, and at luring the fall &quot;art-house crowd&quot;, as opposed to this weekend, when I fear it will be completely swallowed up at the box office by its competition. 

How many adults that want to see this movie will take their kids to Transformers 2 instead? Quite a few, I think.</description>
