- Eli Roth, the next horror auteur - He’s too busy hunting Nazis in “Inglourious Basterds,” apparently. Cinematical reports Roth has a couple of films in development, but the promise he showed with his debut, 2002’s “Cabin Fever,” seems so long ago.
- Zoe Bell, movie star - the unconventional beauty and stunt woman extraordinaire dazzled audiences in “Death Proof” - so where are the follow-up roles to make her a bona fide star? She’ll need more than just Quentin Tarantino on speed dial if she wants to leverage “Proof” into a movie career. Methinks she’s up to it.

You mean you haven’t seen Zoe Bell’s follow-up to Death Proof?
JIC — your link is why I love running this site!
She’s not terribly convincing in the infomercial, is she?
I’m still rooting for Howie Long to make it as an action star.
I like Eli Roth even though i wasn’t a huge fan of the Hostel films. the first one i did like though aside from all of the extreme torture. i’m glad that the whole torture porn sub genre is fading out. i liked cabin fever and am looking forward to his full length version of ‘Thanksgiving’. I think Adam Green is showing more promise as a horror director though. i thought his first film ‘Hatchet’ was great and the film ‘Spiral’ that he directed with Joel David moore was a really good film. He has a new film called ‘Frozen’ coming out that has a lot of really good buzz around it as well.
Zoe Bell was by far the best thing about Death Proof, and here’s hoping she can capitalize on it. She was given a role in Season 4 of Lost, but most of her episodes weren’t filmed due to the writer’s strike.
