Since its Self Promotion Sunday (according to my calendar, at least) I thought I’d share some movie-related pieces I’ve contributed to other sites across this here Inter-Web:
- “American Idol” might be the country’s most popular – and guiltiest – pleasure, but the Afghanistan version means so much more to its citizens. My PajamasMedia.com review of “Afghan Star” details the cultural battle surrounding their own “Idol” telecast.
- If “Cold Souls” (in select theaters Aug. 7) becomes a hit, the film’s studio can likely blame an aggressive web-based strategy to push the new movie. My latest piece for BoxOffice.com describes how Samuel Goldwyn concocted a crafty Internet campaign to give the new Paul Giamatti film exposure.
