Some movie trailers make you wanna line up at the movie theater right that very minute so you don’t miss opening night.
Others convince you the movie in question will be on DVD by the time you leave the theater.
And deservedly so.
Trailers aren’t perfect. I remember seeing a killer comic trailer for “Problem Child” years ago, but the actual film proved disastrous.
That said, here’s a peek at three films heading our way in the coming months. See if you can figure out which one seems destined for a quick trip to DVD.
WWTW presents “Zombieland,” “Legion” and “The Blind Side.” Please to enjoy.

A question – what was the last movie you watched, at the theater, in which you didn’t view the trailer?
I have to fess up to a strong interest in ‘Blind Side’ since the book told a wonderful and touching story about the Touhy’s and Mr. Oher. It won’t hurt that by November he may be a starter with the Ravens, and on their way to a playoff berth?
That being said, it’s a beyond a shame that the movie (and the trailer) appears to have chosen to Tart Up Mrs Tuohy and apparently forget the influence that Mr T. has had on Mr. Oher. Oh, but they did fasten a cross on the Mrs.’ well exposed chest, so I’m guessin’ that Hollywood has discovered values after all.
‘Legion’ probably has the best chance, the trailer is most intriguing of the three. ‘Blind Side’ will need to get a strong niche audience, might be a little tough, but it is about football, always popular. ‘ Zombieland’ goes to DVD first, however – it has the look of a cable movie (Production values seem to be missing in the trailer.)
JohnFN – I actually read a ton about “District 9″ but avoided the trailer to keep the experience fresh.
“The Blind Side” could still? be a good movie, but the trailer ladles on the syrup …
“Zombieland” is a zombie movie, how could it possibly look more original than “Legion?” But it does, “Legion” looks like a horror Cuisinart. And as much as I like her, Sandra Bullock with blond hair has become a biohazard warning for bad movies.
