The two biggest film releases this weekend – “Halloween II” and “The Final Destination” – ran screaming from critics.
Each horror sequel wasn’t screened, so you won’t see a review of either here. WWTW will catch up with “H2,” as it was briefly titled, tomorrow and post a review ASAP.
The “Halloween” reboot let me down, but I’m guessing/hoping director Rob Zombie rebounded for the new film.
But don’t change that dial, because this weekend WWTW will feature:
- The aforementioned “Halloween II” review
- A review of the new war satire “In the Loop”
- The latest WWTW Rewind - 1991’s “Cape Fear”
- Top 5 Back to School-related movies
- A review of the new IFC on Demand horror film “The Disappeared”

Halloween II is a sequel to a remake, but the sequel is also a remake? Or is this yet another “re-imagining”? Movies are so depressing these days. The fact that this from Rob Zombie is just the cherry on top.
