I think I am one of the only women left who hasn’t read this book. I tried, but Stephanie Meyer can’t write.
Recently I was in a group of six women and every one of them was a fan of the series. Each one openly admitted that SM can’t write, but they still love the storyline. I need to figure out that formula. It seems Meyer and Dan Brown have both figured out the magic formula for turning out major best-sellers, despite being unable to write well.
Good one Paula! I forgot about Grisham. Years ago, when I was a teen who wanted to be a lawyer I read him, but it seems the faster he tried to put out books, the worse they go. It was annoying when he started recycling the same plotlines.

Oh no she didn’t! Oh yes I did!!!
Heidi, you’re not the only woman who doesn’t get the popularity of Meyer’s books. I wouldn’t have liked this stuff even when I was a teenager.
I’d have to add John Grisham to the list of financially successful writers unburdened with talent.

They learned from the granddaddy — James Joyce — they’re just less pretentious and a lot richer.
