The movie blurb attached to the new Ellen Page feature “Whip It” stopped me in my tracks over the weekend.
The drama, a lightweight lark powered by Page and a sweet and sour cast (Drew Barrymore, Juliette Lewis), could be called many things, but the term “genius” shouldn’t be attached to any facet of the film.
