In no particular order …
- “Zombieland,” a silly, gore-drenched horror comedy, is getting plenty of critical love since its opening last weekend – 88 percent “fresh” over at RottenTomatoes.com.
- Is “Zombieland 2″ on the way? You don’t need a magic eight ball to see most signs point to … yes.

My comment on Goldstein’s Times blog in answer to Olsen’s rant:
“A-list filmmakers and studio chiefs like Steven Spielberg, Alan Horn, James Cameron, Amy Pascal, Jerry Bruckheimer, Brian Grazer, Tom Rothman, J.J. Abrams, John Lasseter or Michael Bay”

IOWs, the guys whose bottom line heavily depends on the average slobs who might object to raping a 13 year old buying their tickets? Well, thank goodness they didn’t actually come out against an admitted criminal, because that would have been like signing a “loyalty oath” or something.
Hey Mr. Olsen. You remember all those Christians and conservatives that have been routinely bashed in Hollywood movies in the last couple of decades? Yeah, the folks who stopped going to most movies because they were tired of paying ten bucks to get their worldview sucker punched? This episode is just great for reinforcing their biases which Hollywood in general has already laid the foundation for 10 feet thick. So it’s a little late to protest that you and your ilk are being tarred with the same brush because we’ve had it demonstrated to us just how narrow the Hollywood version of the world really is.
I understand that DVD sales and investment dollars in Hollywood are way down right now. People are losing their jobs. The 30 or 40 million people who spit when they hear the word “Hollywood” might come in handy about now, wouldn’t they? Too bad.
