Pretty girls in Hollywood are a dime a dozen.
And then there’s Megan Fox.
When I first saw her in “Transformers” I figured she was just another special effect. Her beauty seemed like it came from a nerdy CGI expert’s laptop.
Did it matter if she could act or not? Plenty of careers have thrived based mostly on looks.
Then, she started giving frank interviews to the press. Uh, oh. Someone is off script in a pretty big way.
Here’s a list of her recent confessions, the totality of which could make her career a rather short one:
- Earlier this year she told a reporter that, in addition to the evil Transformers wiping out our heroes in the franchise’s first sequel, she wished they would, “take out all of the white trash, hillbilly, anti-gay, super bible-beating people in Middle America?”
- Then, she compared director Michael Bay, the one who made her a star via the “Transformers” films, to Hitler.
- Now, she’s blaming the box office debacle that was “Jennifer’s Body” on … Middle America. You know, the same part of the country that makes – or breaks – movie stars. (Hat tip: Big Hollywood)
“Jennifer’s Body” tanked because “the movie is about a man-eating, cannibalistic lesbian cheerleader, and that pretty much eliminates middle America.”
Middle America seems to have little problem with all those things. Just ask Howard Stern and George A. Romero.

I am sure that she will be glad she has someone to blame (us – never herself) when her career stalls out. She’ll probably be in Playboy in a year or two as the last stop on her way to porn town.
Then in 2020, we can see her on Larry King saying how us rubes ruined her life since we were jealous of her beauty, misunderstood her giant intellect, and punished her for her cannibal /lesbian/ cheerleading ways.
Beauty is as beauty does. Ugly too.
Ugly, indeed. Fox can be refreshingly candid in interviews sometimes. Her thoughts on being called slutty even though she’s in a long term, monogamous relationship, are certainly worth exploring. But her disdain for the people who buy tickets to her films is gross.
Obviously, films about “man-eating, cannibalistic lesbian cheerleaders” are way too high-brow for Middle America.
How is man-eating cannibalistic not redundant?
