George Clooney’s ascent from “Facts of Life” irregular to movie stardom shows no sign of abating.

Christian,
Have you seen “Up in the Air?” Will you be reviewing it? Mrs. Firefly would like to go. She’s claiming she’s “hearing good things about it,” but she’s a Clooney fan, so I can’t be sure she’s being objective. I need to know if I have to go with her, or if I can suggest she guy with one of her girlfriends. Oh, please, oh please, let this be a chick flick!
“guy” of course, should be “go.” Now I know how folks who don’t have an edit button on my site feel!
I wouldn’t call this a chick flick … more of an ‘adult flick.’
And not the adult that conjures multiple “x’s” mind you …
Will file my review on Friday if not earlier – I honor critic embargoes even if many of my peers don’t.
Well I believe that the Academy will get it right this time. Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Monique and Christophe Waltz as the acting winners and Hurt Locker and its director Kathryn Bigelow for best Pic and Director.Hooray for finally a woman winner in the director category!
