Best Scenes of 2009: The pot date in ‘It’s Complicated’

Pot humor seemed to die, officially, during the seriously overbaked “Pineapple Express.”

Then along comes a baby boomer romance like “It’s Complicated” and suddenly marijuana is hip again.

Or at least fodder for some pretty hilarious moments.

“It’s Complicated” roars to life when Jane (Meryl Streep) smokes a joint before her big date with Adam (Steve Martin).

Adam seems shocked at first, but wanting to stay in Jane’s good graces he takes a hit, too.

What follows is whipsmart combination of character driven comedy and full-on silliness, held together by some of the best actors working today.
