It’s easy to forget not everybody has the luxury of spending two blissful hours at the movies.
U.S. soldiers stationed throughout the world can’t steal away to their favorite movie house for a well-deserved respite.
But many still have access to DVD players.
That’s where Operation: Take a Soldier to the Movies comes in. They organize the shipment of DVDs, popcorn, powdered drink mixes and other goodies to soldiers.
WWTW has sent several DVD packages to the “Operation” in recent months and is prepping a new shipment this weekend.
If your DVD collection needs some pruning, consider sending some titles to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces.
And if anyone knows of other organizations in need of DVDs, please let me know. I’ll update the site to spread the news.

Oh this is a great idea! My sister is currently deployed in Afghanistan, and her calls usually consist of her saying that she’s bored even after hours of work. Many don’t realize that even after hours of grueling work that they still need to pass the time to keep their minds clear..and movies can do that.
Thank you, Chris for posting about this.
