‘Descent’ sequel streaks to DVD

‘Descent’ sequel streaks to DVD

This horror hound has been waiting for the sequel to “The Descent” - no matter that common sense tells me not to get my hopes up.

My favorite horror flick from the last decade didn’t make much noise at the box office but its reputation continues to thrive on DVD.

So a sequel was inevitable – if not necessarily a guarantee of more subterranean chills.

Just found out “The Descent: Part 2″ is heading to DVD April 27. The film’s original director, Neil Marshall, is no longer behind the camera, but this site will review the sequel all the same.

(Photo: ‘The Descent’ proved one of the decade’s best horror films, and now a sequel is coming soon to DVD.)

The small font makes your blog better, but can we bump the font a point or so for the geezer impared such as myself?

Thanks

Well, for the life of me I can’t think of what you could do to produce a good sequel. “The Descent” was astounding because it made so much out of so little. A true sequel would have all the cards on the table, a prequel would be gruesome and depressing, and everyone has tried the “Halloween 3 The Season of the Witch” method. (In this case, it takes place underground.) Let’s just be grateful we have one great horror film out of this.

K — noted! am working on it. The upgrade just took place, now I’m doing some tinkering.

Got it … should be easier to read now (for both our aging eyes)
