Top 5 scariest movie nude scenes

Not all nude scenes are meant to titillate.

For every shot of a lounging Annette Bening in “The Grifters” or Phoebe Cates rising from the water in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” there’s a visual that stops us in our tracks.

And not in a good way.

Here’s WWTW’s picks for the five most frightening nude scenes. Some are meant to make us flinch, while others exist simply to wring out some awkward laughter.

Either way, you won’t soon forget these five movie moments:

1. Borat meets the WWE: Sacha Baron Cohen’s “Borat” broke plenty of rules when it comes to modern screen comedy, but the wrestling sequence remains the film’s signature, “oh dear Lord I can’t look” moment. That floating black bar didn’t cover up nearly as much as it could have – or should have. Therapy helps.
2. Naked tub lady: “The Shining” remains a grand horror treat, but the sight of a scary old naked woman in a bathtub ranks high up on the fright meter.
3. “Squeal louder!” The love scene from “Deliverance.” ‘Nuff said.
4. The Baldwin Web Cam: Last year’s adult rom-com “It’s Complicated” showed something we rarely see – two 50-something protagonists falling in love. The film also let Baldwin reveal how many jelly donuts he’s been scarfing down on the set of “30 Rock” during the movie’s nude web cam scene. Yuk.
