All the publicity in the world couldn’t save Phoenix’s ‘I’m Still Here’

It’s been impossible to escape the news about Joaquin Phoenix’s mockumentary “I’m Still Here.”

Every possible media outlet has covered Phoenix’s faux transformation from Oscar-nominated actor to aspiring rapper. But the film itself couldn’t scare up a crowd. That’s putting it mildly.

“I’m Still Here” has earned a not so whopping $400,000 in more than a month’s time, according to boxofficemojo.com.

Phoenix might still be here, but audiences apparently couldn’t give a darn.
