Who knew Michael Caine the author would be every bit as engaging as the Oscar-winning actor?
“The Elephant to Hollywood,” Caine’s just released autobiography, feels like you’ve bumped into the actor at a cocktail party and he bent your ear with one colorful tale after the next.
He’s one party guest from whom you won’t want to flee.
The WWTW review of “Elephant” is coming soon, but here’s a snippet from the book recalling the sage advice a casting director once gave the budding thespian:
“You will thank me for this in the long run, but I know this business well and believe me, Michael, you have no future in it at all,” he told Caine.

Can’t wait to read Caine’s latest. His earlier book, What’s It All About, was fascinating and frequently funny.
Thanks for the heads up about this book. I did not know Mr. Caine was an author or had written a previous book. This is going to have to be put to the top of my must read stack.
