Cage, 3D take another hit

You don’t need special glasses to see Nicolas Cage’s career is in trouble. And so, too, is 3-D filmmaking.

Maybe it’s the contact buzz surrounding Sunday’s Oscar ceremony, but Nicolas Cage’s new 3D actioner “Drive Angry” is currently in ninth place on the box office charts.

Yes, that means it’s being beat by two men in fat suits, romantic lawn gnomes and a teen idol in the Davy Jones mold.

K February 26, 2011 at 9:48 pm: Cages badly needs to find another movie type he can play. The time of action heroes being played by small wiry men, I hope and believe, coming to an end. He stood out before in a sea of metrosexuals as a true bad ass, but Jason Statham he’s not.
